With the Program “Spectre up to date” the quartet aims to strengthen the procurance of music of our times. It addresses an audience, with an open mind especially for different sounds and aesthetics. An adventurous and avant-gardist attitude of the performers as well as the audience plays an important role for a satisfying concert evening. Compared to other instruments the saxophone has a relatively young history but was always strongly linked with the developments in music. Therefore, it is a common and well appreciated instrument in compositions nowadays. Technical and dynamical boundaries are bent as well as the changeability of sound, from plain purity to complete destruction. The cooperation with composers allows us to analyse their personal thoughts about the pieces and to implement their sound imaginations. The quartet attaches great importance to this immediacy of work. This mutual exchange is responsible for a unique concert experience and opportunity to enjoy art of our times in its most original form. The multifaceted way of playing, the colouring and distortion of sounds will surprise and thrill the audience and perhaps set their musical borders in a new way.
